chinese>hkness>japanese>>>>>>>>>taiwanese>>>>>>>>>>>korean>>>>>>>>>>singaporean

at least it is how it looks in my school and my circle

actually, that is just we think so,'coz we are more familiar with chinese accent rather than the others..

but to the local speakers...many countries have got better pronounciation than chinese..

Err, maybe generally, Chinese can get rid of the local accent more easily, But it all depends. Sometimes I can find ppl feel difficult to avoid the influence of dialect

i meant pronunciation...

not english level

i hate the"la" and "ba",etc. they add at each end of the sentences.

i thought they talk this way with chinese ppl for fun

but i realized that's the way they talk after hearing some conversation between singaporeans and native born english speakers.

it really drove me orz

in some way,indian accent is quite like japanese..

i have heard they speak "country" as"countli"

japanese cannot pronouce "v" as well, they would come out as"b"

i'v heard that, singaporean speaks real "singlish", no matter the pronunciation nor the grammar

Zhang Ziyi is the best example.  Look at how her english improved in the past few years.   As a Chinese I am so proud to have her to look up to as an example.

Hence, I agree Chinese have the best pronounciation.

there's no point comparing accents. language is the tool of communication. why bother with the accent? ok the british speak the best british english; the americans speak the best american english; the chinese...so on and so forth
